Transmission Repair: Don’t forget a Transmission Fluid Change

A transmission fluid change should be part of your regular vehicle maintenance, just like an oil change or replacing the coolant in your radiator. Regular service can help you avoid costly transmission repair. It is generally recommended to have a service every 24,000 miles, or at least every two years. However, some manufacturers may recommend longer service intervals like 50,000 or 100,000 miles. These longer service intervals may not give you the opportunity to identify minor problems early enough to avoid them turning into a major transmission repair.
