5 Things You Should Know About Oil Changes and Mini Coopers

mini logo

  1. At Robert’s Auto Repair, we advise our clients to change the synthetic oil of a Mini Cooper every 6000 miles to lengthen the lifespan of your engine.

  2. When you come in for an oil change, we will replace the air and cabin filters every 12,000 – 15,000 miles.

  3. For every MINI that comes to use for an oil change, we advise changing the oil drain plug, too. The oil drain plug needs to be replaced because it has a nylon bushing that loses it seal over time, so it is best to replace it with each oil service.

  4. The recommended oil for a Mini Cooper is 5W-30 synthetic.

  5. With every vehicle that comes to Robert’s Auto Repair for an oil change, we run it through our 20-point courtesy inspection to make sure all is operating well.

If it has been a while since your Mini has had an oil change, minor service, or major service, we invite you to schedule an appointment online with Robert’s Auto Repair. If you have questions, call our main number at (831) 373-1535.

Robert’s Auto Repair is conveniently located at 234 Ramona Avenue, Monterey, CA 93940. We look forward to serving you soon!
