The company has now made an announcement of the 2014 Chevrolet Cruze that will have 2.0 liter turbo diesel engine . Chevrolet claims that the new car will feature the cleanest diesel passenger car engine that the company has ever produced. Chevrolet believes that consumers today need more options and that is exactly what they are providing with the new 2014 Chevrolet Cruze.
Chevrolet said that the new engine will generate 90% less Nitrogen Oxide and particulate emissions compared to the general diesel engine cars. The car will be made in Lordstown Ohio and will have some of the similar safety features that are already features in some of the earlier Cruze vehicles. The all new 2014 Chevrolet Cruze Clean Turbo Diesel will offer 42 mpg on the highway. The company revealed that the car will have 2.0 liter turbo diesel engine that has the capability to produce 148 horsepower and 258 lb feet of torque. The car can accelerate from zero to 60 mph in 8.6 seconds which is better than Volkswagen Jetta TDI automatic and other diesel cars in the market. Chris Perry Vice President of Marketing for Chevrolet said that Cruze has always remained one of the safest cars in their stable and now it is also the cleanest and most fuel efficient one.
